Integration

Block VPN, proxy and Tor traffic with ProxyCheck.io

Incentivised traffic attracts users hiding their location to reach better-paying offers. Connect your ProxyCheck.io key and every click is screened before it reaches your partners.

What the integration checks

  • VPN, proxy and Tor

Block each type independently. VPN and proxy blocking are on by default when you enable the integration, as is Tor.

  • Risk score

Optionally block any IP whose ProxyCheck risk score is at or above your threshold.

  • At the click

The user's IP is checked on every offer click. Blocked users see a short notice asking them to turn off their VPN or proxy.

  • At the conversion

When a partner postback includes the user's IP, it is checked again; a match holds the conversion for review instead of paying it.

Performance

Screening that does not cost you real users

Each lookup has an 800 ms timeout and results are cached per IP for six hours, so repeat clicks are instant. If ProxyCheck.io cannot be reached, the click goes through rather than turning away a genuine user. The wall itself never waits on a lookup.

Set up ProxyCheck.io

  1. Step 1: Get an API key

Create an account at proxycheck.io and copy your API key. Choose a ProxyCheck plan that covers your click volume.

  2. Step 2: Enable in Fraud settings

In your console, open Fraud, paste the key and turn the integration on. The key is stored encrypted.

  3. Step 3: Choose what to block

Toggle VPN, proxy and Tor blocking and set a risk-score threshold if you want one.

Frequently asked questions

Something else on your mind? hello@launchofferwall.com

Who pays for ProxyCheck.io?

You do, directly with ProxyCheck.io. You use your own key and plan; lookups are counted against it.

Is the user's IP sent to ProxyCheck.io?

Yes, when you enable the integration: the clicking user's IP address is sent to ProxyCheck.io for the lookup. Mention this in your and your publishers' privacy notices.

Can I block countries without ProxyCheck.io?

Yes. Country blocking uses the request's network location and works without any third-party lookup.
